Captain’s
Entry:
I have
conquered the “inner circle!” The “outer ring” yet awaits exploration by your
fearless captain.

Speaking of
expeditions, we’re off to explore new galaxies in the morning (Sunday). Our
destination, Mountain Gate RV Park in the Mount Shasta National Forest near Lake Shasta. We’ve got a reservation for three nights, so we’ll have plenty of
time to thoroughly investigate and enjoy the area at our leisure.
Now that the
rally has ended, we’re feeling free to wander. As we talked with a full-timing
couple this morning, we couldn’t help but catch their free-spirited enjoyment
of their chosen lifestyle. It still seems a huge decision, but the more we talk
with folks who have made the shift to be free of house and the demands of being
“earth bound,” the more we wonder if we could do the same. It’s something we
will continue to ponder as we travel.
I don’t
relish leaving this prime camping spot under the big oak tree and the nearby
woods where the dogs love to walk with me. We’ve really enjoyed being here in Quincy, California, so I’ll leave you with just a few random photos as we say goodbye to ABA
(Another Beautiful Adventure).
